MITI to hand over RM3.3 Million for repair of Industrial Infrastructure in Pahang.

KUANTAN, Mar 6 (Bernama) – The International Trade and Industry Ministry (MITI) will disburse the remaining RM3.3 million to Pahang for repair of infrastructure in the three industrial areas in the state soon.

Its minister, Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed, said Pahang was allocated RM4.8 million for the purpose where RM5.5 million had been disbursed to the state government.

"We see that the infrastructure in the industrial areas in the state are in poor condition, the roads have holes everywhere and the drains are blocked.

"Hence, we agree to give the (remaining) allocation as a joint effort between MITI and the Pahang government to improve infrastructure facilities to attract more investors to the state," he told reporters after chairing the joint committee on industrial coordination here Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob, said the fund to be given to Pahang was in line with the state government's request for RM1 million for the three industrial areas in the state, namely Gebeng, Pekan and Temerloh.
