"The State Government continues to actively strive to improve the needs of the people of Pahang specifically in strengthening food security needs.

"The State Government also continues to take reasonable measures to ensure the needs and demands of the people for the food system chain can be met and more resilient and capable," he said.

He said the project with an investment cost of RM10.5 million will be executed on 121 hectares of land that can house 600 broiler wagyu cattle and 600 premium broiler cattle.

"As I understand it, the project will involve a phased development on 300 acres of land with an investment cost of RM10.5 million ringgit which will house 600 broiler wagyu cattle and 600 premium broiler cattle based on a budgeted quantity of fresh meat production starting the second year of project development of 75,000 kilograms of meat.

"The project design is a two-way street where industry players become baka suppliers to local farmers (satellite farmers). They are also trained to be equally involved in the production of premium beef cattle one day.

"Not only that, this development is also expected to accommodate the need for fresh meat in Pahang and will indirectly create job opportunities for local residents who are interested in learning more in-depth livestock fields from these livestock experts," he said.

He added that the project proposal is one of the focuses of the Pahang Barat Plus development agenda where it is expected to advance and strengthen the economy in the region.

"We will provide opportunities for this region to be advanced with high-scale projects with the continued involvement of local residents in various branches including professionals and advanced separately when the project operates later.

"I sincerely hope that this R&D project is not a dream but a reality, not a dream but a reality, not a mirage but a reality. I want this project to continue and be successfully implemented and the results will be shared by all of us,".
